How it works
- Give the puzzle a title, then type or paste your words, one per line or with commas.
- Pick a level. Easy hides up to 8 words across and down, and hard hides up to 20 in every direction.
- Add an AI picture if you like, with an AI-chosen style or your own art direction.
- Tap Print for the puzzle, or Download PDF for the puzzle with its answer key on page 2.
Tips for teachers
- Use the week's spelling or vocabulary words, so the puzzle doubles as practice.
- Pick Easy for kindergarten and first grade. Pick Medium for second and third grade.
- Spaces and punctuation are dropped in the grid, so ice cream is hidden as ICECREAM.
- Print one copy per child and keep the answer key page for yourself.

Questions and answers
Is the word search maker free?
Yes. Make and print as many puzzles as you like, for home or a whole school, with no account. An optional AI picture uses one page from your page-maker allowance. Reusing it on another puzzle is free.
Can I use my class spelling list?
Yes. Paste the list, one word per line or with commas, and pick a level. Every child gets the same puzzle, so one answer key works for the class.
Why was a word left out?
Each level has a grid size and a word limit. A word that is longer than the grid, or a list longer than the limit, is named under the box so you can change it.
Can I make a different puzzle with the same words?
Yes. Tap New puzzle to hide the same words in new places. The same list and the same puzzle number always give the same grid.
Could the random letters spell something rude?
Every grid is checked in all eight directions against a list of words that don't belong on a kids' worksheet. Any letters that spell one are swapped out.
Are my words saved or sent anywhere?
Your word list and puzzle title stay on your device. If you add an AI picture, only its theme or description and the art style are sent to draw it.
Can I add a picture in an AI-designed style?
Yes. Add an AI picture, choose a theme and let AI choose the style, or describe your own. The picture prints beside the word list, on the puzzle and its answer key.
