About these coloring pages
These free fall coloring pages follow autumn from the first falling leaves to harvest time. Three smiling acorns and an easy scarecrow are the simplest pages. A hedgehog carries an apple through the leaves, and a fox naps in a pile of them. Two kids jump into a leaf pile, and another climbs a ladder to pick apples. A bunny, a hedgehog and a squirrel share a picnic under an autumn tree. The detailed leaf page has maple, oak, birch, ginkgo and chestnut leaves, so kids can learn their shapes while they color. Some of our Thanksgiving pages fit autumn too, so they appear here as well. Look for the pumpkin patch, the friendly scarecrow, the harvest wagon and the fall leaf mandala. Fall pages are a good place to practice blending. Start a leaf yellow, add orange, then finish the tip in red or brown. A small set of crayons covers most of these pages: red, orange, yellow, gold, brown and one green. Toddlers can start with the acorn family. The leaf collection and the mandala suit older kids, teens and adults.

Printing and coloring tips
- Collect real leaves on a walk and match their colors with crayons before you start.
- Put a real leaf under the paper and rub the side of a crayon over it to add leaf prints to the background.
- Cut out finished leaves and acorns and string them into a garland for a window or door.
- Warm colors fill most fall pages. Save a cool blue for the sky so the leaves stand out.
